I was under the age of two when my parents took me to the very 1st Renaissance Pleasure Faire KPFK sponsored. It was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. They also regularly took me/us to the Hare Krishna Temple in Culver City , where Weekend Parades on the Venice Beach boardwalk had real Indian Elephants, exotic smells, colorful , swirling dancers, musical instruments, spicy foods, hours and hours of fasting and hours of prayer.
